The 4th of July reminds me of the exceptional courage of all those who signed the Declaration of Independence, putting their freedom, their property, even their lives at mortal risk (I enjoy sharing the last name of one of these brave patriots, though I don’t really know if he is a direct relative.)

I do know this act of courage was an essential foundation and beginning that led to our Constitution and the Bill of Rights. You may recall from my other posts that I spent years happening upon hidden treasure finds in Payments.

Years ago when I was writing Payments Power for merchants, I learned about the Merchants Bill of Rights, published by Bob Carr, that was counter to the traditional merchant services industry behaviors. Bob gave me the OK recently to credit him with inspiring my document.
